The Third Way

Obama’s Gun-Restriction Policy Playbook (via Instapundit)

The Third Way’s propaganda manual is co-authored by Jim Kessler – who as then-U.S. Rep. Chuck Schumer’s policy director husbanded legislation that became the 1994 Clinton gun ban. This political playbook is a stark study in duplicity and is word-for-word the blueprint for both Barack Obama’s stunningly empty embrace of the Second Amendment, and of the media’s total participation in this intellectually dishonest campaign of deception and obfuscation.

Here’s a key rule: “Don’t let your opponent define you by your record.”

Exactly.

I recently had a conversation with a pro-Obama person who told me that I shouldn’t be worried about my guns because Obama has said he only wants to take them away from criminals. I responded that the effort to keep them away from criminals would mean keeping them away from everyone, and my friend told me that Obama has said many times that he wouldn’t do that.

I told him that my kid keeps eating my chocolate bars. I go to get a few sqaures and discover that there are corners nibbled off the bar. Or that a bar I was sure was there is just plain gone. My kid admits that she ate it and that she won’t do it again. But it happens again.

Now, when my kid tells me once again that she won’t eat my chocolate, do I believe what she says or do I believe what she does?

And, come on. My daughter is a hundred times more trustworthy than any national politician.

Don’t let your record define you? Your record is all you are.

So Obama wants to do what police has been trying for ages. Or are all the criminals just going to hand over their guns because The One would be president?

How naive those Obamatrons are. Always amazes me.

Or maybe Obama will send the Angry Wife Unit after the criminals.

For the notes: my cat is a hundred times more trustworthy than any politician.
