		<description>A restraining order is really just a self-defense license in the US. If you shoot someone who approaches you while under one, in most jurisdictions, you will not be prosecuted.

That is the document&#039;s only use, as far as I can tell.</description>

		<description>I agree.  A home security system would not have changed the outcome, and it shows a lack of understanding of violent crime to even suggest that it would.
