Suspicious driver arrested near White House

The driver was questioned before being arrested for possession of unregistered ammunition (shotgun shells) and having an unregistered vehicle, said Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service. The car was found to be safe about two hours later, he said

    Probably just piss-poor reporting. I can hear it now:
    Police sergeant: “He was in possession of an unregistered vehicle, so we took him in. We then found ammunition in the vehicle, arousing our suspicions.”
    Reporter: “He was in possession of unregistered ammunition and an unregistered vehicle.”

    pretty sure it is illegal to possess ammo for a gun that you do not have registered in DC.
