30 Remington AR and .30-06

30 Remington AR (left) and .30-06
Despite being designed as a “big game round” (meaning deer at 350 yards), no one will mistake the new AR cartridge for a full-sized rifle round.
It (predictably) felt about like a 6.8 SPC, meaning only slightly heavier than a 5.56.

Thanks for that. I was wondering what the round looked like.

I wanted to gather up a whole range including .308, 5.56, 6.8, etc, and line them up nice, but my ride was telling me they were leaving with or without me as I was taking that picture.
