Compact Rifles

February 5th, 2009

Wendy LeFever of NRA’s Insights magazine checks out guns for the youngsters in SHOT Youth Guns.

Remington has started calling their youth guns “compact,” probably to make them more attractive to smaller women and older kids who might be put off by the “youth” label.

One Response to “Compact Rifles”

  1. Jay Hafemeister Says:

Actually, this marketing change likely has more to do with the FED GOV’s new regulation of anything marketed toward children. As of feb 07, 2009 any product marketed toward children has to be tested for lead. This includes all toys, clothes, books, bicycles, etc. Anything sold for use by kids will require a rather expensive testing procedure to be allowed on the market. So no more “youth rifles.”
