I also had one in the 70s that I sold for school money. I always planned to by another. Who knew it would take 30 years for that to come true. I hope a little better rifle comes out in the caliber. It fills a nifty niche that the 17 HMR comes close to but I think the 5mm is way better, more power, more reach, and if you get bored you can centerfire it and reload. John

I’m glad to see the 5MM Magnum Remington Back. I bought my Remington New in the 1970s. I remember it was better than .22 Magnum. I loved the round and Rem made a reasonable rifle for it. I was in Ilion NY in the summer and noticed their museum had every rifle except that one. Perhaps they think it’s their Ford Edsel. It’s Back!!!
