Orlando Sentiel editorial: A renewed federal assault weapons ban is long overdue
The same blah blah blah:
There’s no need for ordinary citizens to be armed with such lethal firepower. Hunters don’t need them. Gun-toting urbanites don’t need them, either.
The whole “need” thing again. It’s funny they mention hunters, because virtually every hunting rifle is more “lethal” than any of the guns controlled by the AWB.
They want the same thing as last time except no sunset provision this time.

Speaking of “banned” weapons, does anyone know if the M-79 40mm grenade launcher (blooper) is legal for civilians?
I realize the HE and Willie Pete ammo is verboten, but the weapon is simply a single shot, breech-break, large caliber shotgun when used with the shotgun round.
