SHOT: Taurus - 5mm Tracker Revolver

Here’s the new revolver from Taurus designed for the 5mm Remington Rimfire Magnum:

The rep wouldn’t nail down a date for availability. He said that they’re watching 5mm developments closely and would be happy to see another manufacturer begin producing it. He said that another ammo maker was reportedly taking a look at it.

    The Tracker series seems to have a growing number of proponents including myself, although mine is in .357 Magnum. That being said, I think a Tracker chambered in .22 WMR would have been more practical and more popular than one in 5mm Remington Magnum. I won’t discount the 5mm Tracker yet since it may fill a niche for some but am curious to see if it will catch on as Taurus hopes it will. I hope their next chambering for the Tracker series will be in .22 WMR however.
