At one point there was speculation that the military might be shifting away from the M9 9mm, but a recent order for more, the largest pistol order since WW2, shows that the 9 is here to stay.

A crying shame, OUR troops saddled with the most one of the most useless POS round in the world, and in a Beretta for crying out loud…
I saw an XDm the other day that had an ambidextrous slide safety system, totally USELESS on an XD, but Springfield was trying to get a foot in the door with a government bid I heard and that slide safety was a requirement…

Now that is how a kneeling position should look. They need to teach the Canuks pictured on Murdoc.
TexasFred – If any of them are using a pistol in combat, something has gone terribly wrong and a different pistol won’t fix it. I’ll argue all day about what kind of rifle our soldiers should carry but really don’t care about pistols.
