Rampage in Alabama

Multiple deaths reported in Ala. shooting spree

This afternoon:

GENEVA, Ala. – A gunman went on a shooting spree in two neighboring south Alabama towns Tuesday, killing nine people before he shot himself at a metals plant, authorities said.

State police and Geneva Mayor Wynnton Melton said that 10 people were dead, including the gunman.

More people were believed to have been wounded.

Many of the victims were relatives of the shooter, but he also seemed to just shoot people at random on the street.

this is becoming all too common. it is going to become harder and harder for slow-minded officials and media-members to realize that gun laws won’t stop this, only propagate it.

I just finished reading “Escape from Hell” by Niven & Pournelle – their sequel to “Inferno” which was a sci-fi version of Dante. Great book.

The main character finds Seung-Hui Cho (the Virginia Tech shooter) in a very deep circle of Hell condemned to stand forever in boiling blood, guarded by Billy the Kid who shoots him whenever he tries to get out. Sounds like a guy from Alabama and one from Germany are in the boiling blood now too. I sure hope so.

  • As long as we are partially disarmed, the massacres will continue.
