A new offering this year from Tapco is their AK Side Mount:

It simply mounts to the side bracket found on most AKs and provides a Picatinny rail while allowing the receiver cover to be removed without messing with the zero.

Also, you can see most of the new AK FUSION Handguards up front. The lower section has a removable cover which reveals Picatinny rails below. The handguards count as 1 US Sec 922R compliant part.

Something else from Tapco I don’t seem to have taken a picture of are their new Fusion Vertical Grips. They are standard forward vertical grips that mount on Picatinny rails except that the sides of the grip are flattened to aid in the securing of tape switches for tactical lights.
