Brownells Gas Block Flip-Up Front Sight
It’s the sort of simple, solid, no-nonsense accessory that Murdoc appreciates. Plus the price ain’t half bad, and like a lot of AR accessories, it was in stock and shipped the next day.

Are those push-button locked up and down, or do they use detents? I am probably going to snag a fore and aft pair from Brownells at some point, simply because I never plan on using the irons at all, but it is probably a good idea to have something.

Detent on this. I don’t know for sure on the rear.
I have a Midwest Industries rear flip-up (which I really like) and it has a push-button to lower it from raised.
