    We’re not all do-gooder gun-grabbing assholes out here. Just a lot of us. Really, if you nuked Berkeley and San Francisco, and maybe did some surgical strikes to some of the more “progressive” areas of the state, it wouldn’t be too bad.

    Problem is, the Dems have this state so gerrymandered that they can’t help but keep winning the majority, even if the people they represent don’t really want more gun laws.

    There’s always a chance for a populist Republican or independent to come in and shake things up if they have the right message and decent charisma. That’s how the Governator got in, but he pussed out and became basically a right of center Democrat. Really, if the Libertarian party wasn’t so big on letting the perfect be the enemy of the good, they would probably be a lot more successful out here.

    I think this would be the case in a lot of areas.
