That's sensible. But would you want to be the waitress telling an irate customer who's packing he can't have a beer?
Because CCW permit holders have such a long and documented history of shooting people up for little or no reason, I guess.

I must not be going to the right bars here in Florida. I've packed heat many times in restaurants with bars and never have pulled the trigger over anything, much less a poorly made black & tan.

The next thing you will expect them to distinguish between someone who pushes little old ladies under trains and someone who pushes little old ladies away from oncoming trains.
They are graduate students, after all, and know that both are people who push little old ladies around and are thus equally bad.
And yes, there is so much projection going on they could easily get jobs as projectors in cinema multiplexes.
