Murdoc and James Rummel, thanks for the kind words and for the links!

I have 2 of these great guns. One is a complete original rig with stock and leather holster from the 1916 Prussian Contract with Imperial German Army marks and the eagle crest on the magazine, practically pristine genuine Red 9; I don’t shoot it. The other is an M30 (1930) step barrel, arsenal re-furb & re-barreled to 9×19; it shoots great with Fiocchi or Sellier & Bellot, but occasionally misfeeds with a lot of regular off-the-shelf 9mm, failure to fully seat in battery; haven’t really debugged this problem yet.
