Justices Served

March 19th, 2008

Sebastian notes the five SCOTUS justices who seem to most strongly support us in the questioning, notes who appointed them, and writes:

This should give you all some idea of the importance of elections. Where do you think we’d be on the Heller case if Al Gore or John Kerry had won in 2000 and 2004 respectively?

This is another reason why I don’t buy the “real Conservatives won’t vote for McCain” reasoning.

…except for the fact that, considering his past behavior and statements (including ‘The Maverick’s’ tendency to drop to his knees with his mouth open whenever any major Democrat scratches his fly), there’s no evidence at all that McCain’s Supreme Court picks would be any better than Gore’s or Kerry’s. McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, his support for various gun bans, opposition to tax cuts on class-warfare bases… Vote for the wretch if you want to, if your stomach is strong enough… bot don’t lie to yourself or us about what you’d be getting.

This link tells me all I need to know about John McCain. http://www.campaignadvantage.com/services/websites/archive/ags/ad_mccain.html

Right. Because all of the other candidates who might win are campaigning to keep the ‘loophole’ open. Don’t pretend that because McCain is bad that the other options are better.
