Victim Shot While Calling 911

A California woman was shot to death as she pleaded with emergency dispatchers to come and help her. Her death will not make the network news programs this evening, but this is the latest reminder that we must take responsibility for our own safety and not rely on the police.

Authorities arrived “a few minutes” after the call. Though it won’t change anything, I’d be curious to know how many they consider “a few” to be.

I’m not nearly as anti-police as some, but to expect even the best cops to get to you in time to help is very unrealistic.

One condition that many set as a key to being a truly sovereign nation is the country’s ability to defend itself against attackers.

If you can’t defend yourself in your own home, is it truly your own home? Or are you just borrowing it from the real owners?

Murdoc owns his home.
