[...] What sort of rifle is he using? [...]

  2. BOCAT 9 Says:

That appears to be a French FR-F1 sniper rifle which is a derivative of the old MAS 36.

  3. Jean-Christophe Says:

Actually, it’s a FR-F2. French sniper rifle in .308. The scope is not the usual one. Our troops use the french Scrome J8 scope.
This rifle is very robust and well designed. It has been a good sniper tool for years. GIAT three grooves cold hammered barrels have a long life, but some of them are now “quite” old.

    Touché sir.

  5. Robert Says:

Field-Expediant cheekpiece built out of tape and the closed cell foam that comes in the ammo crates I would think. Built a bunch of them for scoped M14s. Cheap, available and reliable.

  6. Kristopher Says:

I thought that thing looked vaguely like a MAS-49.

I wondered who had made one into a bolt-action … turned out it was the people at GIAT themselves … heh.

Arthritis in dogs can be a major problem that many people never even think of in older dogs.
