Gun Control is like Airline Security
December 28th, 2009
A massive bureaucracy costing billions of dollars is inconveniencing millions of law-abiding citizens, so when outlaws demonstrate that they can get around the system, the system is altered to do more to inconvenience law-abiding citizens but do little or nothing to address the criminals.
Everyone is up in arms about this because they have to wait in a longer line at the airport or because they can’t get out of their seat. Nearly everyone can agree that it’s stupid and won’t do much (if anything) to help solve the problem of airline terrorists. On top of all this, the only people that can really be counted on when it comes time to deal with a threat, the law-abiding citizens, are the ones at risk and the ones who have more restrictions placed on them when someone else shows how useless the restrictions are.
It’s tough to tell whether it’s gun control or airline security we’re talking about, isn’t it?

What? Increased security measures, reminds me of the Animal House movie from the 70s…
“But Delta’s already on probation.”
“They are? Well, as of this moment, they’re on DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION!”
Next, the government will push for TRIPLE SECRET PROBATION!
