70-Year-Old Winter Haven Man Shoots Would-be Thieves
Two would-be thieves didn’t count on a motion alarm and a gun-toting 70-year-old Winter Haven man when they tried to steal the batteries from his golf cart, according to Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports.
A lot of people will look at this and ask, “Are golf cart batteries really worth shooting someone over?”
The question really is, “Are stealing someone’s golf cart batteries really worth getting shot over?”
When the homeowner confronted the would-be robbers, they moved on him.

“The question really is, ‘Is stealing someone’s golf cart batteries really worth getting shot over?’ ”
Careful- that phrasing might suggest that people are responsible for the situations they get themselves into.
Obviously he was compensating for something.
lack of moral and ethical education in the would be thieves is my first guess.
Those poor theives probably needed these batteries to fight global warming and to promote the economy by prompting this man to replace them and support hopey changy Obama’s effort to save the world economy. Those poor poor misunderstood victims! If only this old man just understood them better, he might well have written a check! Yeah right! There needs to be more thieves shot. Given the economy, there will be more of this
Yeah! That’s it! Let’s relieve the economy by shooting more thieves (including the white-collar ones). Less people to struggle over limited resources, more for everyone else. The unemployed get to move into the dead thieve’s day job, lower unemployment. Less people claiming unemployment & welfare. Sounds like a win-win-win all around to me.
So – help the economy – shoot more thieves! (LOL!!)
