Armed Citizen Gets it Done in Delaware
A thief, dressed for the winter and rummaging through a car outside a Glasgow residence late Tuesday, had the tables turned on him when he was held at gunpoint by the resident he was stealing from until police arrived, officials said today.

In alot of places, holding someone at gunpoint is a no-no; unless there is mortal danger afoot you run a strong risk of being charged yourself.
When the cops arrive, they’re gonna spend alot of time clowning around with you because you have a gun. A dirtbag breaking into cars is one thing; someone who is holding someone at gunpoint is something else.
And ask yourself this- you’ve drawn on a guy who broke into your car. You command him to get down on the ground. He turns and starts walking away. You gonna shoot him in the back?
I don’t think the cops are going to care if the guy can show any kind of damage to his vehicle. Not only that but if the guy has any record, they’ll believe the vehicle’s owner. I’d fully support holding a criminal at gunpoint to ensure he is arrested. Maybe the guy will learn from this and next time he will get a job instead of robbing from cars.
