April 6th, 2008
As I pointed out in January, the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s 2008 Shooting Sports Summit begins on June 23rd in Colorado Springs, CO. There was little info available at the time.
At the SHOT Show in February, I asked the folks at the big NSSF booth about the Summit, and they were basically clueless about it. They knew it was in June, they knew it was in Colorado Springs, and they knew that former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker. And that was all that they knew.
On Friday I got an email on the event, and details seem to be filling in. They’ve got a big list of speakers for signature and breakout sessions.
I lived in Colorado Springs for seven years and I’m always looking for an excuse to get back. But after deciding to make the Second Amendment Blog Bash and NRA Annual Meeting a priority, I doubt that I’ve got the time and money for another trip this summer. And it ain’t terribly cheap.
