While I applaud the NRA’s commitment to those with a solid pro-gun rights record and I am glad that they’re not just a GOP sock puppet, this isn’t going to sit well with a lot of people.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but tread carefully here. Dem majorities are still Dem majorities.

People need to stop viewing the NRA (and other gun rights organization) as right arms for the GOP or as supporters a complete conservative issue. That’s not their job. Their only job is the advocacy and protection of our right to bear arms.
The disconnect is here: The Democrat leadership is anti gun. If they get or hold the majority they will enact gun control legislation. So an individual democrat may have a good record, and firmly believe in gun rights, but once elected to a majority they will be pressured into voting against the core value they ran on, just like Joe Sestak voted for Obamacare, with tax payer funded abortions, after running on a pro life platform.
I don’t trust any Democrat, and very few republicans.
The devil is in the details, reid keeps a B rating even while pushing both anti-2A supreme court nominees. And they chose not to support Angle even while she has a higher rating. The NRA lost my $$$ and support over disclose and claiming that they were the driving force on McDonald, they will gain an active advocate for others to pull support if reid wins.
Established political organizations like NRA and VFW are making huge mistakes this year.
I pay my dues and not a penny more. A guy who will vote for Nancy Pelosi for House Speaker is not pro-gun-rights and will not get any of my money.
Yes, what we’re seeing is getting citizens riled up especially right before November election time. If the Dems keep majorities things do not bode well long term for the Second Amendment. Though in this case I don’t think the Dem majority in the House will stand.
