For the purposes of discussion, I’ve adopted a stance of “Yes, our troops should switch to hollow point expanding ammunition and I don’t care if the enemy does the same.”

For the purposes of discussion, I’ve adopted a stance of “Yes, our troops should switch to hollow point expanding ammunition and I don’t care if the enemy does the same.”

What I don’t get is why we don’t just issue the troops M193 instead of M855 since it exhibits better fragmentation at short distances. It also achieves higher velocity than the heavier M855 which is critical with carbine length barrels.
