A ban on the “bump stock” devices that made the Las Vegas attack so deadly would enjoy broad public support, according to a new poll. Yet gun policy experts say a ban would probably have a negligible effect on mass shooting deaths.
“Bump fire stocks” haven’t been used before in a mass shooting. Only in certain circumstances would they be of much help to a would-be killer. They are novelty gadgets.
A lot of gun owners are up in arms about the NRA’s position on this, but Murdoc thinks it’s the best course at the moment. Let the BATFE, the same BATFE that already decided that the devices were not in violation of federal law, review it. Let emotions cool before rushing to do anything.
Looking at the state of California, it clearly represents a high capacity magazine. California enforces a 10 round magazine limit and California clearly violates this law. The only solution to this issue is to ban California. I feel that my fellow progressive Democrats in the State Legislature will agree on this issue.
This is the most utterly ridiculous thing Murdoc’s ever heard in his entire life.
Holy shit. There might actually be something to this.
Despite claims that the markets would never recover, the markets are through the roof since early November. But not everyone is seeing big gains from Trump’s huge win.
Gun sales fell last month following the election of Donald Trump as President, and analysts see a clear connection as gun enthusiasts no longer perceive a threat to the Second Amendment the way they did under President Obama—or might have under a President Hillary Clinton.
Shares of American Outdoor Brands, which owns Smith & Wesson, have fallen by 26% since Election Day and shares of Sturm, Ruger, and Co. are down by 16% over the same period, the New York Post reports. Gun background checks performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigations were also down in the month of December, though 2016 marked a record year for the background checks, with 27.5 million performed.
Murdoc has been chided over the years by Lefties who take issue with labeling President Obama as “the greatest gun salesman in history” but the more time that passes, the more obvious the label becomes.
Years of the threats to regulate guns, hints that they may be taken away, and blaming millions and millions of gunw owners for the actions of criminals didn’t reduce sales? Claiming that voters who support the opposition are “clinging” to their guns didn’t convince gun owners to give up their firearms? Hillary’s statements that confiscation programs like Australia’s didn’t sway public opinion against the right keep and bear arms? Surprise.
Umarex® ARX® Ammunition represents the next generation of muzzleloading and airgun hunting technology. Precision-engineered at the pioneering PolyCase® Ammunition development lab, Umarex ARX ammo incorporates patent-pending innovation that enables extreme hunting performance. Constructed from an advanced polymer-copper matrix, the Umarex ARX SpeedBand™ and SpeedBelt™ bullets will revolutionize terminal performance in both muzzleloading and airgun hunting.
PolyCase ARX technology acts as a force multiplier in muzzleloader and airgun ammunition, simultaneously dispersing kinetic energy both forward and laterally. ARX non-expanding ammo provides maximum hydraulic displacement and terminal energy transfer to targets. This high velocity, flat-shooting projectile provides exceptional performance in mid and big-bore air rifles when combined with Umarex SpeedBand or SpeedBelt polymer sabots.
Umarex ARX Ammunition elevates pre-charged pneumatic air rifle performance into the 21st century with four of the most popular air rifle chamberings. The groundbreaking Umarex SpeedBand sabot was developed for use with Umarex ARX bullets in .357, .40 and .45 caliber while the base-style SpeedBelt sabot was designed for use with .50 caliber Umarex ARX ammo and performs flawlessly in both muzzleloaders and the new Umarex Hammer™.50 caliber big bore air rifle.
The polymer formulation of Umarex SpeedBand and SpeedBelt sabots creates a powerful seal in barrel lands and grooves, blocking the passage of air to swiftly drive the projectile down the barrel. Upon exiting the muzzle, captive air pressure on the sabot forces release of the high velocity, light-weight ARX ammo, which maximizes momentum and delivers un-paralleled terminal performance on target.
