Was just cruising Caleb’s site and saw that he posted a photo of me exiting the FlashFog booth, which he calls the “fog booth of death”.

Though non-lethal, the booth certainly does the trick. Replicating the sudden fog and blinding strobe effect in a shop or store would almost certainly end any burglary in its tracks.

New for this year is the SoundWall, a 125-decibel, man-stopping blast of dissonant sound. Combine this with the FlashFog and it would really put the fear of God into smash-and-grabbers.

Even without the SoundWall turned on, I was not at my best as I stumbled out of the FlashFog demo booth. Go look.

Beaver Falls police say 18-year-olds Aaron Jacobs and Asa Thomas conspired to lure the driver to an apartment on Saturday night about 10:30 p.m.

Police say the 39-year-old victim told them the men grabbed him and tried to take his wallet and that a third person jumped in as one of the robbers tried to cover his head with a pillow case. At some point, police say one of the men used a stun gun on the man’s neck.

Police say they are still looking for the third person.

Taser International Inc., the largest stun-gun maker, lost a $6.2 million jury verdict over the death of a California man who died after police shot him multiple times with the weapon. The defeat is the first for Taser in a product- liability claim.

A San Jose, California, jury yesterday said Taser had failed to warn police in Salinas, California, that prolonged exposure to electric shock from the device could cause a risk of cardiac arrest. The jury awarded $1 million in compensatory damages and $5.2 million in punitive damages to the estate of Robert Heston, 40, and his parents. The jury cleared the police officers of any liability.
